ProStix’s range of Business Management Software is the sole product of Sterland Computing, which in turn grew out of a parent company active in the Timber Supplies industry, Sterland Bros Timber.
Started 40 years ago in Gosford, NSW, Sterland Brothers Timber Supplies was quick to recognise the productivity benefits of computers but was unable to find software that was appropriate for their industry. So they developed their own.
Drawing together the collective experience of key personnel, they developed the groundbreaking STICS software package, and its reputation grew quickly across the industry.
Sterland Computing grew and evolved independently, becoming a separate company in the early 80’s. Since that time it has matured into the industry’s technological leader, continuing to develop new software features for ProStix to keep it at the cutting edge.
Sterland Computing is a wholly Australian owned and operated organisation. From its origins in 1981, the company has established a client base of over 400 installed sites in Australia and New Zealand.
Born from the industry, Sterland Computing has a depth of knowledge and experience of the particular needs, interests, cycles, products, schedules and the many other complexities of building supplies operations and business.
